Ronaldo Will FAIL!!!
Today Milan will face Real Madrid. There is much to be said about this game.... However the most important thing worth mentioning, in the first blog of this website, is the ludacricy of the Cristiano Ronaldo media hype.... He is a very good player don't get me wrong but he is so overrated by the media...
As we have seen in his last few games with Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo is maybe one of the best players in the world when it comes to finishing the ball inside the 6 yard box when there is no goalie in sight and no defenders marking him....He then goes and celebrate Inzaghi style... the shame!!! Cristiano Ronaldo will not even have a chance to make any difference today, he has always choked against big teams.... Milan won 3 - 0 and taught CRonaldo was taught another lesson in football by Gatusso......

ReplyDeleteMilan Sucks!!!! Ronaldo Rocks
Forza Milan!!!
ReplyDeleteModer Sucks!
Abbiati; Abate, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Zambrotta; Boateng, Pirlo, Gattuso; Ronaldinho; Pato, Ibrahimovic.
ReplyDeleteIm surprised Ronnie is starting and not Robinho!
Ronaldo sucks... But there is Dimaria Higuain and Gago who will make the difference..
ReplyDeleteThat is Berlusconi's pressure.... He said he wants to see Ronaldhinio...
ReplyDeleteLooks like Allegri isn't the type to stand up to his beliefs
I think Football (soccer) is at its best nowadays. The time of huge stars is gone. There is no more of having teams rely on one (or two) player to do most of the work while they just provide him the ball and wait. Now, teams have several smaller stars (compared to the past) and everybody in the team can make a big difference. It's great.
ReplyDeletetrue, thats coz more countries are developing their football schools. You now see stars from all over the world! Did you guys watch Gareth Bale yesterday? Amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, in the past people used to say Maradona is about to play or Maradona is about to win. That's not possible anymore, which is good. The team wins now, not a certain star.
ReplyDeleteReal was lucky this time, a goal last minute between the legs! One thing was true that Ronaldo sucks, Real sucks. Milan was not that much better. Ronaldinho please stop playing long balls, go back to your origin & play short quick ones to get back your game.
ReplyDeleteI wish I watched Bayern instead, this is a team where other teams should learn from.
@Moe: are you serious? man football sucks now... you don't see any good players. it is all running and fitness and ineffective dribbling... man iza C.ronaldo is considered one of the best players in the world. we are fee 3asr il inhitat bil football. tell me one world class striker playing now, someone in the same level as weah, klinsman, batistuta... Today's teams wont hold a half against the barcelona of the 90s or milan of the late 80s.. it isnt that there are more players with better talent, the issue is that there is no talent and that talent is not appreciated. Ozil is great btw. Stay tuned for tomorrow's post bashing real madrid
ReplyDelete@Anonymous... looks like you are a real argentian fan
ReplyDelete@The Bavarian: Ronaldo sucks and Real sucks.. The next post will be on Rubben who is also very overrated:)
nice blog keep it up the expert
ReplyDeletei rlly rlly dont get how anyone can seriously say that football today is better than it was in the past...and i definitely cant say how anyone can actually imply that maradona was an individual player..plz anyone who thinks or believes this should go get some education in soccer history or change hobbies altogether...to begin with...football in the past was wayyyyyyy better than it is now and it ever will be because quite simply..as the expert already pointed out the direction it has taken is towards fitness and physical abilities rather than technique, skill, and smart play...in the past those were the qualities that make a good player..u have players like beckenbauer and cruyff who revolutionized the game...can anyone imagine a team right now play total football the way cruyff and co did?? and if u check out the so called best players considered in football today, with the exception of few, they are all players that are supremely fit and fast..example the dumbass cristiano ronaldo..while he is a good player that can be benificial to his team if used properly, he is nowhere near as good as the media and public hype him up to..which brings me to maradona..if u know anything about him he is one of the best team players ever...he barely used to touch the ball more than 2-3 times before passing..dont be fooled by the clips they show u cause what they show are the dribbles n such but they dont show a regular pass..well coz nowadays noone cares about simple plays...football is a simple game and no one..i mean no one is half as smart as maradona or can do what he used to do...he would involve the whole team in his style of play just because he is a passer unlike many of u think....he aint no cristiano or ronaldinho or any of this "ballerinas" with all the tricks n that..he used to play simple...and if anyone thinks that he couldve won the world cup and uefa cup and italian league on his own..then thats just downright foolish..he ofcourse was the main piece and without him neither napoli nor argentina woudlve won but that dont mean that he beat teams alone...maybe in certain instances he produced plays that won the games..but he still needs a good team to win..so plz anyone who claims that maradona is an individual player and that football now is better than before either educate urself about football history before talkin or just go away and find some other sport to watch or follow...there is just no way that football now is better..it may be faster and more physical but football iq has dropped drastically...players before used to think while playing and they had to hav some skill.today they just run..someone pointed out that everyone is developping players at a young age in soccer schools..this is true but this is what is actually aiding in ruining football today and makin it suck so bad...if u get a kid playing from the age of 7 or 8 mainliy focusing on running and fitness drills and making him/her memorize the game and what to do in certain situations then how will that person become a good creative and talented player if he/she is being taught to play like a machine..great players play with hearts and minds...great player think and play with a passion..unfortunately players in this day and age play for the recognition, the money, and just run around like idiots..well most of em do..so again plz no one compare todays football to that in the past..and certainly no one say anyting about maradona without actually watching him play or knowing anythign about him other than the few clips where they show him dribbling..u are basically criticizing..the best there ever was and best there ever will be...some pple will say maybe someone in the future will be better..and thats just no way this is gona happen coz player are more phsycially oriented and will continue to be so..rather than technically and skillfully oriented..and id take a gifted smart player over a physical player anyday...peace
ReplyDeletelong comment i know but had to be done hehe..
ReplyDeleteWell said - "watch you bleed". couldn't have done it better. I'm probably going to turn your comment into a post :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's well said. Whenever you reply by attacking the other person then you have failed to make a better point or even defend your position. Peace.
ReplyDeleteI disagree. Football as a whole is definitely getting better. I think we just feel nostalgic to the old days as we remember players like Maradona, van Basten, Baggio, Cruyff, etc. The fact is that Maradona only played 3 or 4 good years of football. The rest was a disgrace, especially his stunts and dives and addictions off the field. Who can forget his steroid celebration in the '94 WC? Fifa and the continental federations have cracked down on such horseshit, with few minorities like Mutu still squeaking thru. We can only wonder how many players were on dope back in the day, especially in cruyff's day. Im not saying he was, but Im sure many players were. Even if my point is wrong, Messi will eat Maradona alive, and he will do it in a gentleman manner way into his mid thirties.
ReplyDeleteThe second point is that football players are athletes and taking their bodies to the limit is part of what they do. It's actually 90%. Yes they learn and they do most of that technique in their sleep, but that's the school of football. That's how players like Gattuso still play. How many of us can name more talented players than Rino in our own back yard? I'm sure we all can.
Football was better back then? Cruyff invented the "Cruyff turn" and he was a genious! Now almost every 10 year old has that move as a basic move in creating space! How is football not getting better? Sure Ronaldo dives like a bitch, and we all hate him including me, but he has numbers and trophies to back things up! Have you guys seen this guy run? He is just Majestic!
Third, the game as a whole is improving as Blatter and platini and doing everything they can to try an reinforce salary caps, incorporate 5+6 rules, technology into the game...etc. How many games in the past have been decided on bad calls? now we have refs standing on the goal line. How is that not better? Games are shown on all tv channels! how is that not better?
you say you'd take a gifted and smart player over a physical player any day, but Ronaldo is gifted. u'd pick him over Van Bommel???
The only thing I hate now is clubs splashing crazy money and club balance sheets in red, but it's all a work in progress...I say out with the old and in with the new, something the Italian leagues should start doing!
The good news is that Milan won, albeit in boring fashion but the team rallied together and worked hard to earn the three points away at Bari. As I was suggesting to “The Expert”, Allegri opted for the 4-4-2 instead of the glamorous 4-3-3, benching Ronnie and the off form Pato, fielding Ibra and Robinho upfront. The back four made of Nesta, Yepes, Zambrotta and Abate. The midfield consisted of Seedorf, Flamini, Ambrosini and Gattuso.
ReplyDeleteThe game was expected to be dull as Pirlo was rested and Milan had no creativity in the Middle. The defense had more protection with the extra support in midfield, conceding less in counter attack. However Yepes and Nesta still struggled to manage the back four especially in the first 15 minutes, but held composure as Milan added a second through Flamini. Ibra was fee to move and played the role of a playmaker setting his teammates upfront. Robinho looked good and was moving well upfront, but still missing plenty of chances. Personally, I think he did great as he opened up Bari’s defense creating plenty of chances. The Milan fans screamed for Pippo to be subbed on but Allegri opted for Pato as Robinho missed his fourth shot. It took Pato only eight minutes to score a beauty from the edge of the box into the far right corner with his weaker left foot.
The bad news is that Milan were caught snoozing at the latter stages of the game and conceded a goal through Barretto that could have been avoided, Abbiati proving once more to be not so dependant. Milan are yet to play more than two games with the same formation. The team seems to be struggling to find an identity upfront and Allegri looks set to face headaches with his selection options. I doubt that Ronnie will be happy to watch from the sidelines. Is this his time to get out and consider other teams? Especially with rumors of Kaka knocking on the door in January.
